Weekend Fun and Dessert Stand

This weekend we enjoyed some time outside. Weston is feeling much better. His right foot was still very sore this whole weekend so there was not much walking going on. But boy did we have a blast playing with his pedal tractor!
The tractor is so heavy to push! So why not just drive it and stick Weston in the trailer!?!
After playing outside we explored in the kitchen and climbed on the chairs. :)
I also had a chance to paint this little stand I picked up at the consignment store a few weeks ago. I bought it for only $3!!
I bought some yellow spray paint and painted it... love it!! I originally bought it for a dessert stand, but for now it SO matches the daffodils from the garden!! I love SPRING!!!!!

SO Sore!

I am laying in bed feeling SOOOOOO sore!! Sunday night Chad and I went to our house and walked through it with our renters. OMG... we have A LOT of work to do. I mean A LOT!! Everywhere we look, there is something to be fixed, cleaned, or painted. After swimming classes on Monday morning, I headed straight for the house. Kristin was so nice and decided to come and help (what a lifesaver)! We washed down the walls and started painting.
Monday's Accomplishments:
- painted kitchen walls (first coat)
- finished painting breakfast nook
- finished painting dining room
- finished painting master bedroom walls
I picked up Weston from my grandmother's house around 4pm. At 8pm I headed back to paint again!
After swimming lessons yesterday, I dropped off Weston at my mom's house and then started another day of PAINTING! Ugh... I am so tired!
Tuesday's Accomplishments:
-finished painting master bedroom floors
-finished painting family room
-finished painting living room (AKA Weston't play room)
- finished painting kitchen (except for the high part.... I need to take a ladder next time)
Again I was there until almost 10pm last night!

The house is filthy. Dog hair and gross grime everywhere! My goal for today is to completely finish painting the kitchen (high walls), paint Weston's room, and paint upstairs hallway. After lessons, I need to head to the paint store to get a few more things mixed. Then hopefully Friday I can spend the day scrubbing and cleaning every inch of that house before we move in Saturday!

Well, I need to get out of bed. In an hour and a half I need to head to the Athletic Club for swimming lessons with Weston. The question is... Can I get out of bed?!?!?!?!

Planning to paint...

Only about a month until we can get back into our home!!!

I have been researching colors and think I have decided on colors for the kitchen!! I think we are going to try Benjamin Moore paint this time. They have a really nice historical color selection. In a dream world, we would rip out everything and start new, but there is just no money to do that! So instead we need to work with what we have. Our counter tops are a darker gray (kind of like that smokey ash paint color below). I think we may choose this "wickham gray" paint color for the walls and then go with the other color suggestions and paint the doors "hot apple spice". The doors now are a red so it will not be too much of a pain to paint over it another shade of red. Getting sooooo excited!

And for the breakfast nook (AKA very small walkway into dining room), dining room, and living room I was thinking "pale moon". I was looking through one of their color flow magazines and it looks like this color would flow with the gray and into the blue in our family room (like the blue in the bottom right corner).

All of the curtains on the bottom floor of the house are the same so that should help with the flow.

I could definitely be changing my mind! But for now... I like this. :)
