Graduation Day

Last Wednesday, my nephew (and godson too) graduated from preschool. TEAR. Where did the time go? He is now a kindergartener! The night before, Weston and I decorated the wrapping paper for his gift. We had a lot of fun. I think we will do this more often. Weston was a little concerned about the marker marks all over his hands though. he he he. :)
Look at him and his proud mama! Congrats Toby!
And then we celebrated at the creamery. As we waited for our icecream, he opened his gifts.
Surprise! A whiteboard to practice your sight words.

Mommy School- Cows

Last week we did not go all out with Mommy School. I picked cows for the theme because Chad’s uncle has a baby calf that was just born a few weeks ago. So I thought that would be the perfect little field trip to end our week.
We read all of W’s farm books throughout the week and picked out the cows. We also pretended to be a cow and talked about the sounds they make and what they like to eat. Later in the week we painted a cow with brown and black fingerpaint.  On Friday, we met Honey. She was so adorable. Weston loved Honey and her mama, Clover to pieces.

And here is my phone photo dump. I tried posting it yesterday, but my computer was not cooperating and I did not have the energy to try to make it work. ;)

The Hose

I love having flowers around the yard- pots, baskets, window boxes, and in the garden, but I hate watering them! Every evening I drag myself outside to work on this tedious task. Weston ran behind me last night as I watered the flowers wanting to play with the new hose! It was a little heavy and way to hard for him to push down the handle to get the water out, but he seemed OK with that. He pretended to water the Mandevillas and had the biggest smile on his face. And then he got sidetracked and splashed in the puddles. But the best part was squirting him with the hose! "More!" "More!" "More!" We could have been out there all night...
